| TROOP F NEWS RELEASE August 7, 2018 State Police Arrest Lake Providence Man for 2nd Degree Rape Lake Providence – In late July, 2018, Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit received a complaint in reference to a teenager being raped by a 27-year-old man in East Carroll Parish. During this investigation it revealed 27-year-old David Tyler Boyd of Lake Providence had sexual intercourse with a teenager. On August 6, 2018, Boyd was arrested in Oak Grove and later transferred to River Bend Correctional Center in Lake Providence where he was charged with 2nd degree rape. His bond was set at $50,000.00 This is an ongoing and active investigation, with no further information at this time.
