TROOP F NEWS RELEASE March 9, 2015 Tallulah Man Killed in Single Vehicle Crash Madison Parish – A Tallulah man lost his life today after losing control of the vehicle he was driving. Shortly after 7:15 p.m. on March 9, 2015, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop F began investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred on US 80 approximately 5 miles east of the city of Tallulah. This crash took the life of 67-year-old Anthony Scardino Jr. of Tallulah, LA. The initial investigation by State Police revealed Scardino was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban west on US Highway 80. For unknown reasons the vehicle Scardino was driving traveled off the road to the right. Scardino overcorrected and traveled off the road to the left where his vehicle struck a tree. Scardino was restrained, but sustained fatal injuries due to the severity of the crash. Scardino was pronounced dead on scene by the Madison Parish Coroner’s Office. A toxicology sample was obtained from Scardino and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation. In 2015, Troop F has investigated 9 fatal crashes resulting in 9 deaths.
