REGION 3 NEWS RELEASE August 4, 2014 West Monroe Man Arrested For Child Porn OUACHITA PARISH - On August 4, 2014, investigators with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested 44-year-old Robert Scott of West Monroe for possession of pornography involving juveniles. The arrest was the result of an investigation that started in July and culminated with the serving of a search warrant at an address in West Monroe. Investigators determined Scott was the person responsible for downloading child pornography. During questioning, Scott admitted to downloading child pornography for the last five years. As part of the investigation, detectives seized Scott’s computer for forensic analysis. Scott was booked into the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center. If convicted, Scott faces up to a $50,000 fine and from five to twenty years in prison without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
