TROOP A NEWS RELEASE Prairieville Man Arrested for Seventh Offense DWI Baton Rouge – On October 13, 2018, a Trooper from Louisiana State Police Troop A placed 45-year-old Jon Day of Prairieville under arrest for 7th Offense DWI. The arrest came after a Trooper stopped Day on LA 73 near the Ascension Parish line. Shortly before 7:00 pm Saturday, a Trooper patrolling LA 73 observed a white Chevrolet Corvette commit a traffic violation. The Trooper conducted a traffic stop and asked Day to exit his vehicle. Upon coming into contact with Day, the Trooper suspected that he was impaired. Day performed poorly on a standardized field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for 7th Offense DWI. Day refused to submit to a breath test and the Trooper obtained a search warrant for Day’s blood. Day was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 7th Offense DWI, Unlawful Refusal of a Chemical Test, Improper Lane Usage, and an Obscured License Plate. Contact Information: | |||
