Joint Investigation Leads to Arrest of Ouachita Parish Transitional Work Program Employee

Monroe, LA – A Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office employee was arrested today after investigators located child pornography at his residence.

Earlier this month, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigators along with Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit initiated an investigation into an individual possessing images of pornography involving juveniles. On March 8, 2017, State Police Detectives and Ouachita Parish Investigators executed a search warrant at that individual’s residence in West Monroe, LA. During the search of the residence, agents located evidence of images depicting child pornography on electronic devices within the home.

As a result of the investigation, 35-year-old Josh Deason of West Monroe was arrested and charged with four counts of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles and was booked at the Ouachita Correctional Center.

The Louisiana State Police maintains close partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and will continue to work to locate and arrest those individuals who choose to participate in the crime of child pornography.
