ATV Crash Results In Death in Natchitoches Parish
Early this morning, an ATV crash resulted in the death of a Slaughter woman.
Louisiana State Police Troop E Troopers responded to the crash this morning at about 12:25 am. The investigation revealed that a 2007 Honda 4-wheeler was traveling south on Pete Slaughter Rd when the driver entered a left hand curve. The ATV then passed through a "washed out" spot in the roadway and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The ATV overturned and ejected the driver and the passenger.
The driver and occupant were transported to the LSU-Shreveport Hospital. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Allen Culpepper from Sorrento, La, received moderate injuries in the crash.
The passenger, identified as 37-year-old Stacey Culpepper from Slaughter, LA, died at the hospital.
The crash is under investigation at this time
Troop E troopers have investigated 23 fatal crashes for the year of 2011, resulting in 24 fatalities.
