TROOP E - NEWS RELEASE
October 10, 2011
Robeline Man Seriously Injured In Crash Earlier today, a single vehicle crash seriously injured a man from Robeline, LA.
Troopers responded to the crash around 3:40 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 6 in Natchitoches Parish. The crash involved a 2007 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Aubrey R. Ford (W/M 73 yrs). The Chevrolet was west bound on LA Hwy 6 when Ford lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, Ford overcorrected his vehicle, reentered LA Hwy 6, and exited the left side of the roadway before colliding with a tree and overturning.
Ford was not wearing his seatbelt and received serious injuries. He was transported to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA.
Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash. We ask you to take one second to “buckle up!”
