Late last night, a crash involving two vehicles seriously injured a man from Dodson, LA.

Troopers responded to the crash around 11:00 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 505 in Winn Parish. The crash involved a 2002 Dodge pickup, driven by Amy Box (W/F 34 yrs) of Goldonna, LA and a 2004 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Bartlett Norred (W/M 42 yrs) of Dodson, LA. The Dodge was south bound on LA Hwy 505 when Box crossed the centerline and collided with the north bound Chevrolet.

Box was not wearing her seatbelt and received moderate injuries. She was transported to Jackson Hospital.

Norred received serious injuries and was transported to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA for treatment. It is unknown if Norred was wearing his seatbelt.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.

Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash. We ask you to take one second to “buckle up!”
