DeRidder Man Seriously Injured In Crash

Late last night, a crash involving one vehicle seriously injured a man from DeRidder, LA.

Troopers responded to the crash around 10:30 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 399 at Drakes Fork Road in Vernon Parish. The crash involved a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse, driven by Richard W. Foreman (W/M 28 yrs). The Mitsubishi was south bound on LA Hwy 399 when Foreman lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with two trees.

Foreman was not wearing his seatbelt and received serious injuries. He was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.

Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash. We ask you to take one second to “buckle up!”
