Troop E - NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release October 8, 2011 Bunkie Man Dies in Single Vehicle Crash Avoyelles Parish- This morning, Louisiana State Police Troop E investigated a single vehicle fatal crash on LA 1176 east of LA 115. The crash claimed the life of a Bunkie man. According to investigating troopers, on October 8, 2011, shortly after 7:40 a.m., a 1997 GMC truck driven by 32-year-old Thomas McNabb of Bunkie, LA, was traveling east on LA 1176. McNabb was entering a right curve when he ran off the left side of the road. After leaving the roadway, McNabb struck a tree causing his vehicle to overturn. McNabb was unrestrained and was partially ejected from the vehicle. McNabb was pronounced dead at the scene. Routine toxicology reports are pending. This crash remains under investigation. This is the 57th fatal crash and the 61st fatality Troop E has investigated this year. Louisiana State Law requires all occupants of motor vehicles to wear their seatbelt. While wearing a seatbelt will not save you in every crash it will greatly reduce your risk of injury in most crashes. For More Information Contact: | |||
