Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: October 13, 2010 Anacoco Woman Dies In Crash Late yesterday afternoon, a single vehicle crash killed a woman from Anacoco, LA. Troopers responded to the crash around 5:15 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 111 north of LA Hwy 8, in Vernon Parish. The crash involved a 1995 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Kimberly Brown Brady (W/F 43 yrs). The Chevrolet was south bound on LA Hwy 111 when the right rear tire experienced failure. Brady then lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle traveled through a ditch before colliding with a couple of trees. Brady was not wearing her seatbelt and was pronounced dead. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Troop E troopers have investigated 53 fatal crashes for the year of 2010, resulting in 59 fatalities.
