Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: March 25, 2011 Motorcyclist Killed In Rapides Crash Earlier today, a single vehicle crash killed a Woodworth man. Troopers responded to the crash around 7:00 am, which occurred on Robinson Bridge Road, east of I-49. The crash involved a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by Ronnie Dale King Jr. (W/M 23 yrs). The Suzuki was west bound on Robinson Bridge Road when King Jr. lost control and exited the left side of the roadway before colliding with several small trees. King Jr. was wearing a helmet, but it was not strapped and became separated from him during the crash. He was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Troop E troopers have investigated thirteen fatal crashes for the year of 2011, resulting in fourteen fatalities.
