Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: March 25, 2011 Texas Man Killed In Sabine Parish Crash Earlier today, a single vehicle crash killed a man from Burkville, TX. Troopers responded to the crash around 8:00 am, which occurred on LA Hwy 392 near LA Hwy 191. The crash involved a 1997 Ford pickup, driven by Scott E. Webb (W/M 43 yrs). The Ford was east bound on LA Hwy 392 when Webb lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. He then overcorrected his vehicle, reentered the roadway, and exited the left side of the roadway again before overturning and colliding with several trees. Webb was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Troop E troopers have investigated fourteen fatal crashes for the year of 2011, resulting in fifteen fatalities.
