Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: February 21, 2011 Motorcyclist Killed In Rapides Parish Crash Earlier this evening, a single vehicle crash killed a man from Glenmora, LA. Troopers responded to the crash around 8:20 pm, which occurred on Glass Road near East River Road. The crash involved a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Kenneth D. Turnage (W/M 31 yrs). The Harley Davidson was north bound on Glass Road when Turnage lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a tree. Turnage was not wearing a helmet and was ejected. He was pronounced dead. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Troop E troopers have investigated nine fatal crashes for the year of 2011, resulting in ten fatalities.
