Vidalia Woman Seriously Injured In Crash |
TROOP E - NEWS RELEASE
November 15, 2012
Vidalia Woman Seriously Injured In Crash Earlier today, a single vehicle crash seriously injured a woman from Vidalia, LA.
Troopers responded to the crash around 3:06 p.m., which occurred on US Hwy 84, east of LA Hwy 129, in Concordia Parish. The crash involved a 2000 Ford Expedition, driven by Tanya Lynn LaPrairie (W/F 29 yrs). The Ford was eastbound on US Hwy 84 when LaPrairie lost control and exited the right side of the roadway before entering a ditch and overturning several times.
LaPrairie was wearing her seatbelt, but received serious injuries. She was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
While not all crashes are survivable, seatbelts can greatly decrease the occupant’s chance of death and will greatly reduce the extent of injury.
