Monterey Man Seriously Injured In Concordia Parish Crash Late last night, a single vehicle crash seriously injured a man from Monterey, LA.
Troopers responded to the crash around 9:50 p.m., which occurred on LA Hwy 129 at LA Hwy 565. The crash involved a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina, driven by Robert Grey (W/M 37 yrs). The Chevrolet was northbound on LA Hwy 129 when Grey lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a tree.
It is unknown if Grey was wearing a seatbelt. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to Riverland Hospital for treatment.
Routine toxicology tests and charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash. We ask you to take one second to “buckle up!”
