TROOP E - NEWS RELEASE September 17, 2012 Pineville Woman Seriously Injured In Sabine Parish Crash Early this morning, a single vehicle crash seriously injured a woman from Pineville, LA. Troopers responded to the crash around 12:02 a.m., which occurred on LA Hwy 474 west of US Hwy 171. The crash involved a 2007 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Allison S. Valentine (W/F 34 yrs). The Chevrolet was westbound on LA Hwy 474 when Valentine lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with a tree. Valentine was not wearing her seatbelt and received serious injuries. She was transported to Sabine Medical Center for treatment. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash.
