Ferriday Woman Seriously Injured In Rapides Parish Crash

Rapides Parish – Earlier today, a single vehicle crash seriously injured a woman from Ferriday, LA.

Troopers responded to the crash around 6:30 a.m., which occurred on LA Hwy 1205 south of LA Hwy 28 East. The crash involved a 2003 Honda Accord, driven by Ashley Stutson (W/F 21 yrs). The Honda was southbound on LA Hwy 1205 when Stutson lost control and exited the left side of the roadway before colliding with a tree.

Stutson was wearing her seatbelt, but received serious injuries. She was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.

While not all crashes are survivable, seatbelts can greatly decrease the occupant’s chance of death and will greatly reduce the extent of injury.
