Investigators from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations/Alexandria Field Office arrested Dwayne L. Dunlavy (W/M 38 yrs) of Ravenna, OH, yesterday for possession of child pornography.

Louisiana State Police received information from the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office in reference to a person downloading child pornography in Alexandria, LA. Dunlavy had been/was traveling from Mississippi to Louisiana partaking in this type of criminal activity. Investigators located Dunlavy, at a motel in Alexandria, where they discovered images of child pornography on various electronic devices.

Dunlavy was then booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and charged with possession of child pornography.

Additional charges are likely. The investigation remains ongoing.

The Louisiana State Police is committed to investigating and arresting those who sexually exploit and victimize children. Operation Child Watch will continue to be a priority in order to protect our children.
