Earlier today, a crash involving two vehicles killed two men from Wisner, LA.

McKenzie (W/M 42 yrs) and a 1999 Ford pickup, driven by David W. Carroll (W/M 48 yrs) of Grayson, LA. The ATV was traveling south bound on the left side of Old Columbia Road and the Ford was traveling north bound on the right side of Old Columbia Road prior to the crash. As the vehicles approached each other, the Ford slightly exited the right side of the roadway in an attempt to avoid a collision. The ATV exited the left side of the roadway and collided with the Ford. After impact, the Ford traveled over the top of the ATV and overturned before both vehicles caught on fire.

McKenzie was ejected from the ATV and was pronounced dead. His passenger, identified as Phillip B. Victor Jr. (W/M 36 yrs), was ejected from the ATV and was pronounced dead.

Carroll was not injured.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
