Pineville Man Seriously Injured In Crash |
TROOP E - NEWS RELEASE
April 15, 2012
Pineville Man Seriously Injured In Crash Earlier today, a single vehicle crash seriously injured a man from Pineville, LA.
Troopers responded to the crash around 2:00 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 1205 in Rapides Parish. The crash involved a 2000 Ford pickup, driven by Jacob P. Edwards (W/M 29 yrs). The Ford was north bound on LA Hwy 1205 when Edwards lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, Edwards overcorrected his vehicle and exited the left side before colliding with a mailbox and a ditch embankment.
Edwards was not wearing his seatbelt and received serious injuries. He was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
Louisiana State Police would like to take this opportunity to remind/inform motorists that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being injured or killed in a crash. We ask you to take one second to “buckle up!”
