| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Date: March 22, 2008 Fatal Crash In Concordia Parish On Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 12:18 pm, Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a fatal crash involving one vehicle. The crash occurred on US 84, milepost 186.6, east of LA Hwy 566. The crash involved a 2003 GMC Yukon, driven by Mr. Darwin S. Enlow (W/M 86 yrs) of Monterey, LA. The GMC was west bound on US 84 when Mr. Enlow lost control and exited the roadway. After exiting the roadway the GMC collided with a tree. Mr. Enlow was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Concordia Parish Coroner’s Office will conduct an investigation to determine the exact cause of death. Routine toxicology tests are pending. Troop E Troopers have investigated a total of 11 fatal crashes for the year of 2008, resulting in 11 fatalities. Two of the 11 fatalities have involved pedestrians. Eight of the nine fatal crashes (vehicle only) have involved unrestrained motorists/occupants.
