| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Date: May 2, 2008 Tennessee Man Killed In Concordia Parish Crash On Friday, May 02, 2008, at 2:11 pm, Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a fatal crash involving two vehicles. The crash occurred on US 65, milepost 17.7, in Concordia Parish. This location is approximately one mile north of Clayton, LA. The crash involved a 2003 Lincoln Town Car, driven by Mr. Charles B. Malham (W/M 73 yrs) of Memphis, TN and a 2007 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Mr. Oran L. Daniel (W/M 85 yrs) of Pineville, LA. The Lincoln was south bound on US 65 when Mr. Malham crossed the center line and collided head on with the Chevrolet, which was north bound on US 65. Mr. Malham was pronounced dead. Concordia Parish Coroner’s Office will conduct an investigation to determine the exact cause of death. Mr. Daniel received moderate injuries and was transported to Riverland Medical Center. His only passenger, Ms. Marilyn E. Daniel (85 yrs) of Pineville, LA, also received moderate injuries and was transported to Riverland Medical Center. Routine toxicology tests are pending. Troop E Troopers have investigated a total of 14 fatal crashes for the year of 2008, resulting in 14 fatalities. Two of the 14 fatalities have involved pedestrians. Eight of the 12 fatal crashes (vehicle only) have involved unrestrained motorists/occupants. Seatbelt use is unknown in one fatal crash. Three fatal victims were restrained.
