| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Date: March 5, 2008 One Dozen Motorists Cited During Troop E’s Insurance Checkpoint In Rapides Parish On Wednesday, March 05, 2008, Louisiana State Police Troop E conducted an insurance checkpoint between the hours of 8:00 am to 10:30 am. The checkpoint was conducted on LA Hwy 3170, milepost 2, in Rapides Parish. This location is south of Alexandria. During the checkpoint 12 motorists were cited for insurance violations, 11 license plates were seized, and three vehicles were towed in regards to these violations. Troopers also issued five non-moving violations (one child restraint citation issued). Troop E is working diligently to remove uninsured motorists off the road. Motorists should expect this type of proactive enforcement throughout the year.
