Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: June 12, 2008 Serious Injury Crash In Grant Parish On Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 4:08 am, Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a serious injury crash involving one vehicle. The crash occurred on Campground Road in Grant Parish. The crash involved a 1997 GMC pickup, driven by Mr. Shane Nelson James (W/M 18 yrs) of Montgomery, LA. The GMC was east bound on Campground Road when Mr. James lost control of his vehicle, in a curve, and ran off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then overturned and collided with several trees. Mr. James received minor injuries and was transported to Natchitoches Regional Hospital for treatment. Ms. Tori L. Coolman (18 yrs) of Montgomery, LA and Mr. Zachary W. Jones (18 yrs) were passengers in the vehicle. Ms. Coolman received serious injuries and was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center. Mr. Jones received minor injuries and was transported to Natchitoches Regional Hospital. Routine toxicology tests and charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
