Seventeen Year Old Seriously Injured In Motorcycle Crash

A young man was seriously injured today when the motorcycle he was driving crashed near Hineston, LA.

Troopers responded to the crash around 4:30 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 461 near LA Hwy 121. The crash involved a 1994 Honda motorcycle, driven by a juvenile (W/M 17 yrs) of Hineston, LA. The Honda was south bound on LA Hwy 461 when the driver lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. The Honda traveled off the roadway over 300 feet before striking a ditch embankment to Guice Road.

The driver was ejected from the motorcycle, but was wearing a helmet. He was transported to Cabrini Hospital with serious injuries.

He was cited for Careless Operation.

Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
