Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: February 12, 2010 Grant Parish Fatal Crash A man from Colfax, LA has been killed in a single vehicle crash. Troopers responded to the crash around 2:20 pm today, which occurred on LA Hwy 8 near Colfax, LA in Grant Parish. The crash involved a 2001 Dodge pickup, driven by Ollie L. McGlone (W/M 75 yrs). The Dodge was west bound on LA Hwy 8 when McGlone lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle collided with several trees before coming to rest. McGlone was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead. It is believed that the crash occurred yesterday afternoon. McGlone was reported missing to the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office at approximately 1:00 pm on February 11, 2010. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Troop E Troopers have investigated nine fatal crashes for the year of 2010, resulting in eleven fatalities.
