| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE Colonel Michael D. Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: March 7, 2010 Catahoula Parish Fatal Crash Earlier today, a single vehicle crash killed a woman from Clayton, LA. Troopers responded to crash around 3:00 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 921 south of LA Hwy 15. The crash involved a 2004 Dodge pickup, driven by Mary M. Metcalf (W/F 84 yrs). The Dodge was south bound on LA Hwy 921 when Metcalf lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. The vehicle then reentered the roadway and again exited the left side before colliding with a ditch. Metcalf was not wearing her seatbelt and was pronounced dead. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Troop E Troopers have investigated thirteen fatal crashes for the year of 2010, resulting in fifteen fatalities.
