| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE Colonel Michael D. Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: March 11, 2010 LaSalle Parish Serious Injury Crash Earlier today, a crash involving two vehicles injured two men. Troopers responded to the crash around 8:30 am, which occurred on LA Hwy 28 west of US Hwy 84. The crash involved a 1992 Ford pickup, driven by Jarrett D. Barton (W/M 27 yrs) of Jonesville, LA and a 1996 Peterbilt (18 wheeler), driven by Mark Daniels (W/M 43 yrs) of Wisner, LA. The Ford was west bound on LA Hwy 28 when Barton drifted across the centerline and collided with the east bound Peterbilt. Barton was not wearing his seatbelt and received serious injuries. He was transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center. Daniels was wearing his seatbelt and received moderate injuries. He was transported to Cabrini Hospital. Routine toxicology tests and charges are pending. The crash remains under investigation.
