Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: March 13, 2010 Teenager Killed In Crash Late last night, a single vehicle crash killed a teenager from Converse, LA. Troopers responded to the crash around 11:30 pm, which occurred on LA Hwy 174 east of LA Hwy 191 in Sabine Parish. The crash involved a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by Angelia D. Vansickle (W/F 18 yrs). The Chrysler was west bound on LA Hwy 174 when Vansickle lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the right side, the vehicle reentered the roadway, exited the left side, and overturned. Vansickle was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected during the crash. She was pronounced dead. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Troop E Troopers have investigated fourteen fatal crashes for the year of 2010, resulting in sixteen fatalities.
