Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: January 16, 2010 Natchitoches Parish Serious Injury Crash Early this morning, a single vehicle crash seriously injured a man from Pleasant Hill, LA. Troopers responded to the crash around 12:10 am, which occurred on LA Hwy 174 west of I-49. The crash involved a 1999 Mazda pickup, driven by Randy D. Scott (B/M 24 yrs). The Mazda was east bound on LA Hwy 174 when Scott lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. After exiting the roadway, the vehicle entered a ditch and began overturning before colliding with a tree. Scott was not wearing his seatbelt and received serious injuries. He was transported to Natchitoches Regional Hospital for treatment. Routine toxicology tests and charges are pending.
