Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: May 14, 2010 New Llano Dispatcher Arrested On Child Pornography Charge Investigators from the Louisiana State Police (LSP) arrested Roy Bartmess Jr. (W/M 56 yrs) of 157 Kelley Street, Leesville, LA, yesterday for Possession of Child Pornography. This arrest stems from a lengthy investigation where it was discovered child pornography images were being downloaded. Yesterday, LSP Investigators executed a search warrant at the above listed address and discovered sexually explicit images of children on a computer. Bartmess Jr. admitted to downloading these images during an interview. Bartmess Jr. is/was an employee of the town of New Llano as a dispatcher with New Llano Police Department. The Louisiana State Police is committed to investigating and arresting those who sexually exploit and victimize children. Operation “Child Watch” will continue to be a priority in order to protect our children. Bartmess Jr. was booked into the Vernon Parish Detention Center and charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
