Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: October 9, 2009 Pineville Man Seriously Injured In Crash Last night, a Pineville man was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash. Troopers responded to the crash around 8:30 pm, which occurred on Williams Lake Road west of LA Hwy 107. The crash involved a 2003 Dodge pickup, driven by Eric J. Dauzat (W/M 29 yrs). The Dodge was west bound on Williams Lake Road when Dauzat lost control and exited the right side of the roadway. After exiting the right side of the roadway, the Dodge collided with several trees before overturning and coming to rest on the left side of the roadway. Dauzat was transported to Cabrini Hospital for treatment. Excessive speed is a suspected factor in the crash. It remains under investigation. Routine toxicology tests are pending.
