Edmonson, Superintendent News Release Date: September 11, 2009 Serious Injury Crash In Winn Parish Early this morning, a single vehicle crash in Winn Parish has left a young man in serious condition. Troopers responded to the crash around 2:45 am, which occurred on LA Hwy 34 east of Atlanta, LA. The crash involved a 2007 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Grady T. Williford (W/M 24 yrs) of Atlanta, LA. The Chevrolet was west bound on LA Hwy 34 when Williford lost control and exited the left side of the roadway. After exiting the left side, he overcorrected his vehicle and exited the right side. The Chevrolet then collided with a culvert and overturned. Williford was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected during the crash. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport for treatment. Routine toxicology tests are pending.
