TROOP E NEWS RELEASE November 26, 2017 Hit and Run Crash Kills Montgomery Man, Public’s Assistance Needed Winn Parish – Early this morning, a single vehicle crash killed a young man from Montgomery, LA that was riding in the bed of a pickup truck. Troopers responded to the crash around 1:45 a.m., which occurred on LA Hwy 34 near Davidson Road. The vehicle had just turned left and entered LA Hwy 34, from Davidson Road, and began traveling west when a passenger, in the bed of the pickup truck, fell out onto the roadway. The exact identity of the vehicle is unknown, at this time, and the events that led up to the passenger falling out of the bed of the pickup truck are unknown. The passenger, identified as Hunter G. Thomisee (W/M 21 yrs), was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation. *Anyone with information, regarding this crash, is asked to call Troop E at (318) 487-5911. Troop E Troopers have investigated 37 fatal crashes in 2017, resulting in 45 fatalities.
