REGION 3 NEWS RELEASE March 23, 2014 Hineston Man Arrested for Sexual Battery Involving a Child Rapides Parish - Investigators from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit/Alexandria Field Office arrested Donald Keith Walters (W/M 46 yrs) of Hineston, LA, on Thursday, March 20, 2014 for one count of sexual battery. In February 2014, LSP’s Special Victims Unit received a complaint in reference to possible inappropriate sexual behavior, which had occurred involving a three year old child. The suspect was identified as Walters. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that while the child was visiting Walters’ residence, he committed a sexual battery on the child. On March 20, 2014, a warrant was issued for Walters’ arrest. Walters was then arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center without incident. If anyone has any information in reference to this or other crimes involving Walters, please contact LSP at 318-484-2190. This case remains under investigation at this time.
