REGION 3 NEWS RELEASE July 7, 2016 Husband and Wife Arrested on Multiple Charges Including Drugs Vernon Parish – Earlier today, Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations/Alexandria Field Office (LSP AFO) and the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Task Force (VPSO NTF) arrested John Earl Jackson (W/M 40 yrs) and Lola Jackson (W/F 36 yrs) of Leesville, LA. John Jackson was arrested for distribution of CDS II (controlled dangerous substance) methamphetamine (four counts), possession of CDS II (over 28 grams) with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, and for possession of stolen property (over $5,000.00). Lola Jackson was arrested for conspiracy to distribute CDS II, possession of CDS II (over 28 grams) with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, and for possession of stolen property (over $5,000.00). In May 2016, LSP and VPSO began investigating John Jackson and Lola Jackson for distributing methamphetamine. Based on information obtained from the investigation, investigators were able to secure a search warrant for the couple’s residence and arrest warrants for them. The search resulted in the seizure of over 70 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and a stolen vehicle. Both Jacksons were booked into the Vernon Parish Detention Center. The investigation remains ongoing.
