REGION 3 NEWS RELEASE September 26, 2015 Converse Teen Arrested on Sex Crime Charges Sabine Parish - Yesterday, investigators from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations Special Victims Unit/Alexandria Field Office arrested Leland Cole Campbell (W/M 19 yrs) of Converse, LA for aggravated crimes against nature, aggravated rape, oral sexual battery, indecent behavior with a juvenile, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. LSP’s Special Victims Unit received information from the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office in reference to a complaint of sexual abuse in which a 10 year old female was the victim. After investigating the complaint and obtaining more evidence, an arrest warrant was obtained for Campbell. Campbell was booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center on the above listed charges.
