TROOP E NEWS RELEASE October 15, 2015 Glenmora Teen Killed in Crash Rapides Parish – Early yesterday morning, a single vehicle crash seriously injured a pedestrian from Glenmora, LA that later died. Troopers responded to the crash around 6:36 a.m., which occurred on Boyd Road near LA Hwy 112. The crash involved a 2012 Ford pickup, driven by Danny J. McBride (W/M 49 yrs) of Elmer, LA and a pedestrian, identified as Katelyn Marie Glenn (W/F 17 yrs). The Ford was eastbound on Boyd Road when McBride had to take evasive action, by swerving into the westbound lane, to avoid a vehicle that had previously crashed. Glenn, which was the driver from the previous crash, was located in the westbound lane when the Ford collided with her. McBride was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. Glenn received serious injuries and was transported to Rapides Regional Trauma Center. She was pronounced dead earlier today. Routine toxicology tests are pending. The crash remains under investigation. Troop E Troopers have investigated 37 fatal crashes in 2015, resulting in 44 fatalities.
