TROOP E NEWS RELEASE December 8, 2015 Leesville Woman Arrested on Drug Charge Vernon Parish – Earlier today, Louisiana State Police Troopers from Troop E arrested Amanda Gwen Hickman (B/F 30 yrs) for possession with the intent to distribute CDS (controlled dangerous substance) II-methamphetamine and improper lane usage. Troopers from Troop E conducted a traffic stop on LA Hwy 117 in Vernon Parish for a traffic violation (improper lane usage). During the course of the traffic stop, Troopers discovered approximately nine ounces of crystal methamphetamine in Hickman’s purse. This amount of crystal methamphetamine has an approximate street value of over $25,000.00. Hickman was booked into the Vernon Parish Detention Center on the above listed charges.
