News Release – Region 2 March 8, 2012 Man arrested for stealing drugs from pharmacy In September of 2011, detectives assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations received a complaint from Walgreens in Moss Bluff, LA in reference to the theft of a tote containing controlled medications. Troopers initiated an investigation and determined 18-year-old Ashton Johnson of Port Allen, LA was supposed to deliver seven totes to the Walgreens in Moss Bluff in Calcasieu Parish but only delivered six. An arrest warrant was obtained on Johnson for theft over $500.00. On March 8, 2012, State Police detectives from Lake Charles traveled to Johnson's residence in Port Allen and arrested him on the warrant. Johnson was booked into West Baton Rouge Parish Jail then transferred to the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. He is being held on a $25,000 bond. Contact Information: Sgt.
