News Release – Region 2 January 26, 2012 State Probation and Parole Officer Arrested for Malfeasance in Office On January 17, 2012, detectives assigned to the Lake Charles Field Office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations received a complaint alleging that 41-year-old Christopher Drago of Ville Platte was engaging in sexual conduct with females he supervised in his capacity as a probation officer with the Louisiana Division of Probation and Parole. Troopers immediately initiated an investigation with the assistance of the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana Division of Probation and Parole. The investigation revealed that Drago engaged in sexual conduct with females he supervised in Allen Parish on several occasions. On January 26, 2012, Drago was arrested in Ville Platte for malfeasance in office; sexual conduct prohibited. He was booked into the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office and was then transferred and booked into the Allen Parish Jail. The bond on the warrant was $2,500.00. If convicted, Drago faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
