News Release – Region 2 April 27, 2012 Meth lab arrests in Sulphur Detectives with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations and the Sulphur Police Department conducted a joint investigation into manufacture of methamphetamine at a residence in Sulphur, LA in Calcasieu Parish. The investigation led to the arrest or four Sulphur residents. On April 26, 2012, detectives from Louisiana State Police and the Sulphur Police Department went to 1218 Texas Street in Sulphur. They encountered 38-year-old Jason “Cory” Ardoin and 33-year-old Raquel Renee Chaline at the house and obtained permission to search the residence. While searching the residence, detectives learned the subjects in the residence were preparing to manufacture a batch of methamphetamine based on observed evidence. A short time later, 51-year-old Lance Dunagan and 47-year-old Michelle Dunagan, both of Sulphur, arrived at the residence. Investigation revealed all four subjects conspired to manufacture methamphetamine at the dwelling. The investigation also revealed they were actively recruiting people to purchase pseudoephedrine so they could manufacture methamphetamine. Through investigation, it was learned that all four subjects have been blocked from purchasing pseudoephedrine on several occasions because they were attempting to purchase more the legal amount in a 30-day period. All four subjects were arrested and booked into Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center for attempt and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. Contact Information: | |||
