TROOP D NEWS RELEASE October 22, 2014 Troopers Requesting Public’s Help Locating Hit and Run Driver Lacassine – On October 20, 2014, at 1:30 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a two vehicle hit and run crash that occurred on Louisiana Highway 101 in the community of Lacassine in Jefferson Davis Parish in front of the Bayou Mart Convenience Store. After the crash, the suspect and vehicle fled south on LA 101 toward the community of Hayes. The suspect vehicle is described as a green or metallic colored Dodge Challenger two door sedan. There should be substantial damage to the front along with significant pre-existing damage to the passenger side of the vehicle. The suspect driver is described as a white male with dark hair in his late twenties or early thirties. He was wearing a dark colored T-shirt with a helicopter logo on the back.
