| TROOP D NEWS RELEASE April 12, 2013 Troopers Discover 44 pounds of Marijuana during I-10 Traffic Stop Sulphur, LA- This morning, a state trooper assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop D stopped a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado for traffic violations on Interstate 10 Eastbound west of Sulphur in Calcasieu Parish which lead to the discovery of marijuana in the vehicle. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, 55-year-old Robert Earl Marlow of Leesburg, Florida, gave consent to search the vehicle he was driving. Troopers, along with our K-9 “Hugo,” located approximately 44 pounds of marijuana hidden in the vehicle with an estimated street value of $66,000. Marlow was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center for speeding, improper lane usage, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Bond was set at $30,200.
