Edmonson, Superintendent Troop I Press Release For Immediate Release April 24, 2010 Iowa Man Killed in Crash Calcasieu Parish- Today, Louisiana State Police Troop D investigated a two vehicle crash that claimed the life of an Iowa man. According to investigating troopers on April 24, 2010, at 1:20 p.m., a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by 75 year-old Euclid W. Frank of Iowa, LA, was traveling on Tank Farm Road approaching LA 397. A 1996 U.S. Post Office delivery van, driven by 56 year-old Stefanie W. Derouen, was traveling south on LA 397 approaching Tank Farm Road. As Derouen entered the intersection, her vehicle struck Frank’s vehicle. Frank was ejected from his vehicle and transported to a local area hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital Frank was pronounced dead. The investigation indicated Frank failed to stop at a stop sign when his vehicle was hit. Toxicology samples were taken from both drivers and have been submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis. The crash remains under investigation. For More Information Contact: Tpr.
