Edmonson, Superintendent Troop D Press Release October 27, 2010 Halloween Safety Tips Lake Charles- Louisiana State Police Troop D wants to remind all drivers the importance of safety this weekend as children are out trick-or-treating. Drivers traveling on Louisiana roadways should remember that some communities will be holding Halloween activates all weekend. If you are in an area where children are present, please remember to make the safe decision and reduce your speed if it is necessary. Troopers will be looking for motorists who are under the influence of alcohol or narcotics throughout the weekend. If you are planning on drinking make sure you designate a driver, or you could be spending your Halloween in a place much scarier then a haunted house. For the parents who will be accompanying their children this weekend during trick-or-treating State Police offers these safety tips: Visibility is very important with regard to being seen by motorists. | |||
