Calcasieu Parish- Last night, Louisiana State Police Troop D investigated a two vehicle crash on LA 27 north of High Hope Road. The crash claimed the life of a Dequincy woman.

According to investigating troopers, on October 20, 2010, shortly after 8:00 p.m., a 2000 Honda Civic driven by 32-year-old Molly Red of Dequincy, LA, was traveling south on LA 27. A 2009 GMC Yukon driven by 21-year-old Amy Eaves of Dequincy, LA, was traveling north on LA 27. For unknown reasons Red crossed the center line and struck Eaves’ vehicle head-on.
