NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: S/T Stephen LaFargue Louisiana State Police Public Affairs – Troop D (337) 491-2932- Office March 4, 2008 - 10 pounds of Cocaine seized (Westlake,LA) On Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 4:00 p.m., the Louisiana State Police Narcotic Section of the Lake Charles field office arrested Carlos Fabian Gutierrez,39 of Tampa, Mexico,Karla Eliza Ramirez,27 of Laredo, Texas , Rodolfo Angel Pasillas,25 of San Antonio, Texas and Jose Angel Pasillas, 27 of San Antonio, Texas for Conspiracy to distribute ten pounds of cocaine and Possession of a Schedule II Cocaine with intent to distribute. State Police Narcotic Agents received information that the above suspects were involved in the trafficking of cocaine into southwest Louisiana. State Police Narcotic Agents initiated an investigation that lasted for two months. State Police Narcotic Agents conducted an undercover operation in the parking lot of the Isle of Capri Casino. Agents observed a transaction taking place and arrested the subjects without incident. Agents discovered the individuals had five packages of cocaine taped to their body.
