| NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: S/T Sal Messina Louisiana State Police Public Affairs – Troop D (337) 491-2932- Office (337) 219-2466- Pager February 6, 2008 - GAMING ENFORCEMENT DIVISION ARREST MESSAGE DATE/TIME: February 4, 2008 ARRESTED: Lester Earl Pitre 425 North 14th Street #18 Kinder, La 70648 CHARGES: L.R.S. 14:67(B) (2) Felony Theft PARISH ARRESTED: Allen Parish BOND SET: None ARREST NARRATIVE: On December 31, 2007, S/T Dalton was notified by Coushatta Casino Resort of a theft. The investigation revealed that a portable generator, valued at approximately $350.00, was taken from the open bed of a pickup while parked at Coushatta Casino Resort. S/T Dalton was contacted by Detective Fontenot with Kinder Police Department on February 4, 2008. Fontenot told Dalton that while interviewing Lester Pitre in an unrelated matter, Pitre admitted to stealing a generator from a pickup parked in the Coushatta Casino Resort parking lot around the first of the year. S/T Dalton met Detective Fontenot at Kinder Police Department to interview Pitre. Pitre admitted to taking the generator and hiding it in the woods near Kinder. S/T Dalton transported Pitre where he said he hid the generator and the generator was recovered. Dalton placed Pitre under arrest without incident, transported and booked him in Allen Parish Sheriff’s Department jail for Felony Theft.
